A belated birthday gift from my parents. These roosters are Lefton's. These guys are going in my china cabinet and not up on the shelf in my kitchen. The sticker on the bottom of one says: Lefton Trade Mark Exclusives Japan.

Some carvings a couple of my boys have done, a few years back. After seeing some beautiful ones over here, I thought that I would post some of the few I have.
Lauren is pen pals with a girl from Finland. Rea and Al had visited with her family when they were in Finland a couple of years ago. So today, 2 letters are going out. Lauren wishes that we could go there this summer to meet and visit her. Sad to say, that is not in the plans.
Yesterday was grocery shopping day. I always feel rich; abundant, plentiful, or ample: a rich supply, when I have a full cupboard. Last night was an early supper. RM went to help his brother on his garage, but came back early as Joe was working a double shift. So he helped Tim and Scott, Joe's boys with a few things. I went to the Digital Photography class with Yvonne and Carolyn. Again I learned a lot. I am figuring out how to use my camera settings. There is so much to learn about what aperture and shutter settings to use, in which situations. Hopefully I'll get there. The good thing about it all is I am really learning my camera and that is what I needed.
Well, I am off to start my day.
You all have a great day.
Once again I am back to doing my own show and tell. I will call it Fridays Feature. Hopefully I won't let it slip like I have. I really had fun with it, finding things to post.
Once my dad found out that I am collecting roosters he has been looking for me. He brought over this for me one day. It is a salt shaker, but doesn't have it's pepper mate. I like it anyway. I don't think it is old, but I don't really care, it's cute.
Last night I went to a digital photography class with a couple of friends. I want to learn my camera better, and how to set it to the correct settings, so that my pictures come out correct. Just from one class I learned so much. So you may be seeing some of the pictures that I will be taking for our "homework" posted.
Can you believe it is only 3 weeks to Thanksgiving. That just boggles my mind. Where did October go? In the winter, January and Febuary go by so slow, and the months that you want to hang around a bit longer just fly by. Why is that, I wonder? I best be going, lots to do today. Don't forget the Fall Y'all Bloggy Giveaway.
You all have a great day.
Well time is running out for the Bre*st Cancer drawing, only 7 days left. If you want to enter, hurry on over to the side bar on the right.
Here's another one of my finds from our anniversary trip. Every time someone walks by they move the magnet pieces around to a different spot. I guess they like it. I put this in my sewing room, but I really wanted it in my kitchen. I just can't find the right spot at the moment, so I put it here for the time being.
This morning I so wanted to be at the lake. The sky from the sunrise was just beautiful from what I could see through the trees. I can't get any good pictures, on a count of houses, trees and power lines all in the way. It is starting to get a bit chilly in the mornings now. Erin told me yesterday she heard it was snowing in the U.P.. I don't think I am ready for snow quite yet. I am still loving my fall with the leaves changing and falling down off the trees. When we first built our home, we had no trees to speak of. We built in an area that was farm land, so of course there are no trees. We now can rake leaves, which was always my favorite thing to do in the fall at my cousins house. They had oodles of trees in their yard. We don't have a whole lot but some. Usually we'll get a day where it is really windy all day, and all the leaves will blow away before I even get a chance to rake.
Not much going on today. We found a car for Dan. Thanks Steve and Yvonne, he was excited. Life sure has it's ups and downs. It was down the other day and now it's up. Well I best be going.
You all have a great day.
Here is a picture frame that I found at the Thrift store the other day. I am not too sure what I am going to put in it. I think it is a little old, not sure how old. It has a stamp of the company name on the back. I was looking for a frame to put a drawing in, that one of the kids had done. I thought that this was big enough, but it wasn't.
This is the picture that Dan drew for a contest at school in the 3rd grade. It was for the school calender. He won for the month of January. This is the one I wanted to frame.
This morning is a cooler morning, 52 degrees out. I think it only is supposed to get in the low 70's. I think our heat spell broke. Finally.
I got a call from a lady in my ASG group. The message was; Am I going to be in the ASG fashion show? Huh? Fashion Show. I don't think so. I guess the 3 piece ensemble that we made, we get to show off in the annual ASG Fashion Show. I couldn't do it, that's just not me. I couldn't do the Fashion Show, even if I wanted to. It's on the weekend of our Fall Services. Whew, I sure lucked out of that one.
Today being Saturday, not too sure what I have going. We did install Quick books on my computer up in the office, I may go up there and start entering all our info from the beginning of the year. That just may take sometime. So I might as well start today.
You all have a great weekend.
