I take photos of lots of things and some things just don't really fit into any kind of post. So, I thought I'd share with you some photos of things I've found while driving through the Ocooch Mountains.
On our way out to the Mothers Day brunch Jim was taking me to, we drove down the lane to see the purple wild flowers growing. I wish I could see these from my kitchen window.
For dinner Jim grilled three trout that he had caught in the creek, two brook and one brown trout. Finally we got to eat the fish he caught, it's no longer catch and release season. They tasted so good and was a perfectly light and delicious meal after eating so much at the wonderful brunch we had earlier in the day.
Sitting out on the deck while the fish were cooking on the grill, I finally got a shot of one of the hummingbirds that have been visiting. It's so good to see them back again. They are quick and I'm lucky to have gotten this shot. Through out the day I got to talk to my kids on the phone, and that was a big highlight.
A wonderful end, to a wonderful day.
Heading out our driveway and seeing the small trees that we saved when we first moved here turning color...
to the flowers growing at the entrance to the State Park we hiked in...
to the woods by the river.
I just love this time of year. Don't you?
Now that the weather has been cooler in the evenings we took a walk down the lane the other night. I stopped to take a photo of this and saw two spiders of bugs of some sort. I was wishing I had my macro lens for this, they both looked pretty interesting.
It's been busy here...trying to catch up on the blog reading...but my google count is pretty high. I'll try to catch up today.
The heat has finally broken and it's much cooler this morning...it must be...I'm typing this with a sweatshirt on.
You all have an awesome day today.
This has been our evening treat for the past couple of days....root beer floats.
This is definitely much better than the snow...Don't you think?
The coneflower is my most favorite flower of all, so of course I had to plant some when we moved here last August. I'm so excited that they are blooming now in my garden.
