Clean table

Cleaning

Table top

Old table

Drawer

I bought an old table the other day.  I had to find out how to clean the top, so I did a google search and came upon this blog.  I was very excited when I started to clean the top with this stuff and almost all of the rust and whatever else was staining the top came off.

Now I have to decide if I want to paint it or not, I won't paint the top but the legs and drawer.  Mr will actually have to make a new drawer for me as the drawer front is just nailed on and the original drawer is missing.  I like the peeled paint look but I also love what Pam over at House of Hawthornes did with her table.

I'm leaning towards painting it, and now the decision comes.

What color to paint it.

garden bike

At Na-Da Farm Barn sale I found an old bike, I'm not sure what year it's from.  There were a few bikes there and a lot cuter than this one, but the prices were a lot higher than this one.  I was looking for a basket to put on it and my cousin who went with me said she had one for me, and it had the grass and dirt already in it, all I had to do was just add the flowers :)

I think I've got one of the not so pretty tanks figured out, now I have to figure out the other.  I also think I need to paint that big white tank...hmmm...Wonder what color?

We are off to a graduation and the graduation party in Madison later today and I'm bringing a salad so off I go to make it.

I hope Y'All have a wonderful day, it's a beautiful day today, the sun is not shining and it's supposed to rain, buy hey that's no big deal, after all the Chicago Blackhawks are heading to the Stanley Cup finals and that makes everything alright!

lilacs and barn sale

Finally my lilacs are in bloom, and they smell so heavenly!  It's a gloomy day today!  But, the other day is when I took these shots.  The sun was shining and it was nice and warm.

The cute little plant marker I found at the Na-Da Farm sale, and I only bought 2 of them, wish I had bought more.

Trailer

I absolutely loved that vintage trailer.  I wanted to take it home :)  I started taking photos and then I got so engrossed in looking for treasures I didn't take anymore :(

Hope Y'All have a wonderful day today!

junking or repurpose

I'm so excited to tell you what I FINALLY attended.  I've been wanting to go to a Na-Da Farm Event ever since Anne Marie started having them, so my daughter-in-law and I headed out to go see what we could find.  I found her blog way back and have been following her ever since.  I was also excited to meet a blogger who's blog I follow, and I'm not even sure how I had found her, probably from Anne Marie's blog.  Traci takes the most beautiful photo's and she's also from my home state of Illinois.  I still call Illinois my home state as I was born and raised there.  It was wonderful chatting with you Traci and I'll see you in the spring, and next time I'll remember the syrup ;)

Here are just some of the items I found, and each one has a place and purpose in my home.

Small copper boiler

Small quilt

Wire baskets

The next few items I found on our way home.  The strawberry is a cookie jar and is not old, but I liked it since I have always loved strawberries, especially when I was a teenager I collected them.  I'm using this to keep the coffee grounds in.  I just put them in a zip-lock bag to keep the grounds fresh.  The bread box I'm not sure if I've ever posted about, I can't remember when I found that, but I do keep our bread in it.

I fell in love with this retro cart.  I use my bread machine all the time to make my bread dough and I just don't have any room on my counter for it.  This cart jumped out at me and it fits perfectly where I put it and I can keep our dehydrator on the bottom.

If you ever get the chance to attend a Na-Da Farm Event you will not be disappointed.

I can't wait to go in the spring.
