Time to make my grandma's recipe of Finnish prune tarts.  This is the only baking I did this season.

I'm a bad girl, I've missed Travel Tuesday/Thursday.  I'm going to plead my case that I've been too busy (which I have).

I have been busy working on this quilt and some other things lately and now Christmas is next week and I have to get going on getting ready for that.  Mr set this up for me so that I can take photos of my finished quilts, he is such a super guy to always help me when I need help.

It's been a few weeks since we had snow on the ground.  The little bit that we did get had melted away pretty fast.

Now we have been having rain, and lots of it.  So much that our county has been under a flood watch and river flood warnings.

It's been so wet that my outdoor winter decorations that would look so nice with a bit of snow on them are soggy.

So here I sit, drinking coffee, looking out the window watching two squirrels chase each other through the tree tops as the rain falls. 

Just some sights we saw heading down the road after we had left the church and cemetery. 

It's been a few years when I started this quilt and I finally finished it.   Thanks to Mr for holding it up for me.  Instead of blogging I've been playing with my mid-arm trying to get better at quilting my quilts.

So off we went to see what else awaited us down the road.

Wow, where did the month of November go?  I blinked and it was gone.  How was everyone's Thanksgiving for those of you who celebrate it?  We had a wonderful one.  For the very first time since I started cooking for Thanksgiving, I didn't cook, we went out for dinner :) and it was awesome!  Don't think that we didn't eat since I didn't cook, we still had a fridge full of food and 2 or 3 coolers that held the overflow from the fridge.

The grands (and adults) made a gingerbread house and train.  I'm thinking that the amount of frosting and candies that was used for decorating, the same amount went into their bellies.

The grands also went on a few wagon rides while they were here.
