stopping to smell the flowers

The garden is in full bloom, tho I still have lots to share from our trip west I thought I'd share some of my garden flowers.

Our second stop was for the night in a city campground in Montrose South Dakota. This was a drive-by shot of a sculpture in Porter Sculpture Park, Montrose, South Dakota, unfortunately for the lack of time we did not stop.
Yes, believe it or not we did tent and loved it and Mr was very excited about the price for the night.
It was the cutest small town and loved that they still had a full service gas station. The next shot is from my cell phone of the main street.
This is a place I would definitely go back to.
I'm not going to write too much in my posts from our trip west, I'll let the photos do the talking for me :)
Our first stop was Sioux Falls South Dakota.
When I saw these ducks I thought of TexWisGirl :))))
Our trip west will continue...
This was taken in Door County June of 2013.
It always saddens me when I see farms like this just left alone with no-one caring for them.
On our stay in Door County in 2013 we took many drives to sight-see. We stopped to have lunch and talked to these two artists. I can't recall where they were from, it was either Iowa or Minnesota, but I asked permission to take their photo and they gave it.
Though I'm at a different angle this is pretty much what they were painting and drawing. I'm not sure if the rocks piled up were in their pictures or not, but I liked them.
The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here this past week and now it's been raining. Which I don't mind, we don't have to water the gardens at all.
Have an awesome day!
Back in June of 2013 when we went to Door County there were a bunch of these sturgeon fish around the town of Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. This is the only one I took a photo of, because it was crocheted and in front of a yarn shop. Unfortunately I did not go in the shop :(
Still going through my files and I don't think I posted this one before.
I love the beach and since I live in a log home I wanted to bring a bit of the beach into my home, so I have decorated our bathroom in a beach theme. Shells we had gathered in Sanibel and Galveston.
Walking around our property I picked some pretty wildflowers plus the wildflowers that I had planted last fall, and right now they sit on my kitchen table.
The weather has been just awesome the past few days, it's so awesome that even the hummers are getting along at the feeder. Mr had done a lot of fishing over the weekend and there's nothing like fresh veggies from the garden and fresh fish.
Life just keeps getting more awesome each day. I'm not saying it's 100 percent perfect, I'm saying with a postitive attitude it can't be nothing but awesome!
We had a wonderful 4th, a friend came over for a cookout and we worked out in the gardens later in the day. Our hay field got cut, wind-rowed and baled before the rains are supposed to come.
The tomatoes are doing good and some are starting to turn color.
Tonight is fireworks, and I hope the rains stay away for it. I also hope you all had a wonderful 4th, I know we did.
