So far, so good, with the blog problems.  I haven't been taking any photos lately, at least photos not blog worthy.  So, I decided to dig into my files and see what I could come up with.  I found my folder from Door County and I have quite a few photos that I haven't posted.  These photos are from June 2013.

We had taken a drive after and came upon this gate which I thought was cute.  I'm not sure if it's a cherry tree or not but from a distance it kind of looks like one.

Typepad has been having major issues and has been duking it out with a DDoS attack that started last Thursday, and since I had no idea as to what that is I looked it up, and since I'm able to get on at the moment I thought I would do a quick post and let you all know that I'm fine, my blogs fine and tho there are a lot of folks not happy at the moment with Typepad for being down for so long, I'm just happy that they are the ones who can fix it, cause I sure have no idea as to how to fix the problem.  I left Blogger a few months after I started blogging and came over to Typepad and have not regretted it once, not even now with all the problems they have been having.  I think they are doing a wonderful job getting us back up and running.  Thanks Typepad team!!!

Sitting around the kitchen table drinking coffee with one of my favorite mugs is wonderful, especially if it's with good company.

Mr had a birthday on Sunday and I made Trisha's Magic Lemon Meringue Pie.  I have to say it was pretty good, sweet, but good.  I guess since cutting back on sugar in my diet things will be a bit sweeter tasting.  We had a wonderful Easter and birthday celebration.

I transplanted some wild tiger lilies that I found close to our property and transplanted them down along the road, the ditches there are so steep that it's very hard to mow, or even mow at all.  I thought planting wild flowers would be nice, and I was so excited to see that they took and are growing, can't wait to see if the wild flower seeds I planted last fall have take as well.

Meanwhile, while my blog has been down, I have not really been on the computer, I've been helping Mr around the farm.  It sure does feel good to get outside and work around the property.

We had an awesome visit with our daughter and and I can't wait to take a trip west to see her.

I was having a bit of a problem getting on Typepad this morning, for some reason I couldn't even go to my blog.  I've had this problem a couple of times before and figured it must be Typepad.  So, I went in my sewing room and made an apron, then headed outdoors with camera in hand to see if spring had arrived, and I'm happy to announce, it finally did.

Homemade potato salad for lunch, served on "What Is It?" Reusable "Paper" Dinner Plate.  I bought these plates in Texas when I was down there in February at the shop where my daughter worked and they are just so cool.

Since moving here to Southwest Wisconsin I have been slowly going through my junk things.  I've had these blue dishes for sometime and usually I tend to not change things up too often, I'm just that kind of gal, I get too comfortable with how things are.  But lately I've been changing things around the house, I'm getting rid of and moving in furniture, I'm going through dishes I no longer want or need, and I'm having fun doing all of it :)))  I found this pattern at an antique shop that was closing for the season over in Iowa.  It was marked down to almost half price, the wonderful thing is the price on it was pretty good to begin with.

After this post I bet you're going to be pretty hungry.  I wish you all could stop on by for some fresh bread, whole wheat or pulla, and stay for lunch to have some potato salad on my new paper plates, but make sure you don't throw them away, they're keepers.

Lots to do today.

Bring the van in this morning to get repaired.  I got rear-ended a couple of weeks ago and now my van is getting fixed...Yay!!

Stopping for breakfast on the way home from town.  I always love doing that.

Getting ready for our daughter to come in a few days, she's on her way to Washington state where she'll be making her new home.  I can't wait, a new place to visit the kids.

I hope the roads are good to travel on, as all the schools are starting at 10:00 a.m. today.

We cleaned the yard up from the snowplowing Mr did.  A lot of gravel gets pushed into the yard and needs to be put back where it belongs, and that is in the driveway...and now it snows again.

Well, that's life in the Ocooch Mountains, one day it's spring, the next day winter.  So far we didn't have any flowers coming up, so those of you who do have spring in your area and are blogging about it, I'll just enjoy yours for the moment.

eta: Thanks for all the feedback from my table post.  I have decided to paint it.  I won't tell you the color, that will be for a later post :)

I bought an old table the other day.  I had to find out how to clean the top, so I did a google search and came upon this blog.  I was very excited when I started to clean the top with this stuff and almost all of the rust and whatever else was staining the top came off.

Now I have to decide if I want to paint it or not, I won't paint the top but the legs and drawer.  Mr will actually have to make a new drawer for me as the drawer front is just nailed on and the original drawer is missing.  I like the peeled paint look but I also love what Pam over at House of Hawthornes did with her table.

I'm leaning towards painting it, and now the decision comes.

Good morning evening peeps!  Spring has finally sprung around here and a good indication of that is when you can walk down the road with no coat on :)

We've been working out in the yard trying to clean up from sugaring, getting the garden ready for planting and even doing some planting, raking the rocks that ended up in the grass from snowplowing and other odds and ends.

I've been having windows open to finally get some fresh air in the house, and that feels so good.

Starting to see a few plants popping out of the ground, another indication that spring is here.  Just being outside gets me planning what I want to do around the yard and in my gardens, I've got some neat ideas going through my head, most of them I have found on Pinterest.  I wish I could get my hands on some old barn wood, as I could come up with a few things that Mr could make from it.

Don't ya just love springtime?  New growth, new beginnings and new ideas.

I got the opportunity to spend some time down at Navy Pier in Chicago on Friday, Mr had to head down there to field measure a job he is doing and the building was a short walk from Navy Pier.  So with camera in hand I took a walk.  It was a cool but beautiful day down in the city.

Another week is slipping away.

I keep thinking of places I want to travel to, and there are so many places in the United States that I want to see.

I love finding items for our house and tho I cleaned up this cabinet, I'm wondering if I should paint the bottom half or just leave it.  I do love the worn out look.  What do you think?

The dog and cat still amaze me.

Sugaring is done and all that's left is the clean-up.  We ended up with over 19 gallons of syrup, should be enough for us and giving away.

Maybe I'll take another look at the globe...I keep hearing "Go West" :)
