But, good, good, good. Wednesday night my knitting group was supposed to meet but it was canceled because of the cold weather. We could bring a plate of goodies if we wanted, kind of like a Christmas party but not really.
I started looking through this cookbook that my husbands cousins put together along with their mom his aunt...(Did that even sound right or make any sense?)
This is a great cookbook, lots of good recipes. I really had to search this cook book for a recipe tho...You see, for some reason my cupboards are running low on ingredients. I think I need to stock up my pantry some. I would find a recipe and then look to see what I had and find out I had everything but one ingredient...GRRRRR....I was getting pretty frustrated until I found this lemon bar recipe. I think I had 3 before they even had a chance to cool down. So instead of bringing them we ate them and I took the rest to work yesterday.
So, is everyone staying warm? It's a whopping 6° outside today. The wood stove has been burning for many days now and our wood supply is starting to dwindle down. I think I'm the only one who walks into work wearing boots. I walk a long way through parking lots and I'm not going to slip and slide the whole way. Plus my feet stay warm.
We split a 1/4 of a cow/steer with our son and daughter-in-law. I made a roast the other night and wow is this good. Makes me wish we could raise our own beef. This came all the way from Northern Minnesota. Our freezers are full and it sure feels good.
It's still busy around here getting ready for Christmas. Gifts that have to be mailed out are almost ready to go.
I hope you all have a wonderful day...Try and stay warm.
