Tonight, Sauna Club is over at our house and I thought that I would be so nice and make the guys the Blueberry Cake that I found over at Randi's blog. Well, I put the cake in the oven and I did turn on the timer....but I had the radio on and the dryer going so I didn't hear it go off. For some reason I went into the kitchen and realized that the cake was still in the oven. I hated to open the oven door for fear that I would discover a burnt cake. Well, for having been baked a little too long it didn't turn out half bad.
In fact it's downright AWESOME!!! I used splenda instead of sugar and it still tastes great. I had to test it to see if it was alright...and it was.
This is what I was working on at the time. The room that has been recently vacated by our daughter Erin needed new curtains badly. I wasn't up to making them so I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and found some cute ones, but the only problem with them was they were way too long. So, I did what I always do when I don't want to make curtains for windows...I shortened them
Now I need to put up new curtain rods and paint. This room is going to be an extra guest room. Too many kids live away and come home, so we still need the bedrooms at times.
So if you are in the mood for some Blueberry Cake head on over to Randi's blog to get the recipe. Trust me it's very, very, good.
