Hay cit and baled here, too. More rain, as well. I live your simple single stem flower photos. Gentle Hearth Farm looks green and peaceful.

Love all those pretty wildflowers. What could be better than smelling fresh cut hay on a cool morning. Perfect!

The front garden looks fabulous! Is it shady there? Hostas love shade. Glad to hear that there is cooler weather west of us. Perhaps it'll make its way here!

How beautiful your flowers are -- isn't it wonderful to see something bloom from seeds? Looks like you're having a wonderful summer!

Oh Judy, I haven't seen cornflowers since my wedding!! I had them is the girls baskets, as they were the only "real" blue flowers you could get 25 years ago!!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
