Cute picture of the boys!
You've been so productive! I love the quilt and the bag.
I was just saying to my sister that I have more patience with my granddaughter than I did with my kids too. :)

TexWisGirl

so very cute - yes, i think you must have done a good grandparent job. :)

love the lacrosse area - so beautiful. and that barn is perfection!

Nancy

My nieces and nephews usually spent the summer at the farm, so my mother got a lot of grandmother time. They treasure those memories now, as will your grandsons.

Love your quilt and the fabrics you used.

Gorgeous photos of the river and the barn.

Vee

Yes, that is exactly what grandparents do. It must have been great for the cousins to be together, too. May I ask how old the grandsons are?

Beautiful quilt and a very nice bag for yourself! It was a good week.

Corinne

I just love, love, LOVE your bag!!!....you should sell them...
they're beautiful!! Your quilt is gorgeous and what a fun time
you've had....just love the barn... so glad you are all well
and enjoying the summer!

Sounds like you had a fabulous time with the grandsons! And you are suppose to totally spoil them and hand them back over. :)

Randy

Great looking quilt.

Ramona

Your quilt is just gorgeous Judy. Looks like your grandsons had a heap of fun.
It's a grandparents prerogative to spoil grandkids.

Thimbleanna

I'll bet your grandkids LOVE to come and visit you. There's nothing like the fun of being out in the country on a summer day for a kid. Your quilt is beautiful Judy -- as are your cute bags!

Rose

I bet those boys hated to go home! Are you worn out after they go home? I am always so tired after Lo has been here 4 or 5 days. But then I miss her so bad after she is gone.

I love your quilt...and that is a real nice bag.. Oh, and I love that barn and the barn quilt! But the barn itself is a beaut!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
