Great pictures! I especially like the one of the wood pile!

Just thinking about all that yummy syrup at the end is fabulous!

awesome! hopefully a good start to the season!

The best sign of spring ever!

That looks like a major undertaking. Now I'm thinking of pancakes with fresh syrup.

I can almost smell it!

Your set up is much more elaborate than ours. We cooked off 250 gallons this weekend and had everything cleaned up and put away by noon yesterday. You can see our set up on my blog at last years post. My computer is in the shop and haven't posted anything today. I think everyone had a good time and learned a lot from the process though. It's always fun teaching things done the old way!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
