the prune tarts remind me of czech kolaches - different shape but same sort of flavor, i'd imagine. :)

Vee

Pretty cookies and I read the recipe and will be back to snag tomorrow. The tarts look so special and festive!

Randy

Nothing like a Christmas Butter cookie.

Ann

That is a lot of dough. Do you and your mom bake together? I still need to make my sugar cookies. Merry Christmas, Judy.

Amy Burzese

Those look fabulous, Judy! Merry, merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!

Nancy

May I come over and be your "taste tester"?

I made one batch of icebox cookies this week - an old family recipe and my and my sister's favorite. She requested a batch, and I baked them last night. I had to sneak just a couple. ;oD

Pam

They both look yummy and wouldn't last long at my house. I eat as I bake :)

Bev

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
