We are expecting our 26th grandchild next month. I wasn't able to go to the baby shower in Michigan, so I had to send the gifts I made there. I made a baby bib on my embroidery machine and knitted a baby hat. Anyone want to guess which team the hat represents? If you don't know already they are having a boy :)
I made a blanket out of minky fabric, a Dr Seuss blanket and I threw in a couple of Dr Seuss books. I do like the minky fabric end results, but dislike working with it.
I can't wait to see our newest grandchild.

I have never worked with minky but love the feel of it...these are all soooo cute!

I have never worked with minky fabric before. I hear it's a bit of a challenge but so worth it when the project is finished. Very cute blanket! The hat couldn't be for a particular hockey team in Chicago, could it? Go Blackhawks!!!!

Congratulations. What wonderful news. The bib is so cute and to know that it is made by grandma makes it very special. 26? That would make some family reunion, wouldn't it? I have a hard time keeping up with 5.

Congrats on grandchild #26! I sure hope that's a Texans hat ;-)
My grandson loves minky blankets, although this Grandma has never made him one. His favorites are minky on one side and the bumpy faux sheepskin on the other side.

Congratulations! Oh my-26?? Sheesh, I just found out our second grandchild is on the way. I can't imagine! Your minky quilt, embroidered bib and handknitted hat are lovely-sure to be keepsakes. With regard to minky fabric, I totally agree with you. It makes a great snuggly warm blanket but cutting it is so messy. I didn't have any issues with sewing the fabric but my sewing room had fuzzies everywhere. Now that grandbaby #2 is on the way, I'm sure I'll do it all over again but will take the cut pieces outside for a good shaking.
