Judy, throw my name in for the mag. I've done the same thing, so I think you're "normal".

TexWisGirl

Barb

The cake looks delicious and I would love the copy of the Flea Market Style magazine. Now you have me singing that song!

Mary Ann

Judy, I did not get to all the blogs yesterday... I love your blog... thank you for commenting on ours. Guess what? I BOUGHT THE SAME MAGAZINE...TWICE!!!! Just like you! I should have raffled it off on the blog, I'll do that next time. I donated it, our food pantry has a giveaway basket so I recirculate there. Have to figure out how to follow your great blog!

LesleyAnn

The cake looks delicious. Cake is something I never pass up, whether I'm hungry or not!

I'd like a try for the magazine, too. I've never read that one. Looks interesting.

Have a blessed day!

Sandra

Hi

Visiting from the BYB party....can you keep the magazine and send me the cake if I win ? :)

Kim

I have just recently come across your blog and have enjoyed reading your posts and getting acquainted with the beautiful area you live in.
I must say your Valentine's Day cake looks scrumptious and so pretty too.
If you don't mind throwing a new reader's name into the hat for your magazine, I'd love the chance.
Thanks so much.

Vee

Now that frosting looks delicious! Sounds as if you had a LOVEly day! Oh sure, please toss my name into the cap. I love Flea Market Style.

Carver

missing moments

Ha! I've done the same thing with magazines! That cake looks so yummy!

Randy

Now I have the worst craving for cake.

Ramona

Oh Yum, the cake looks simply lucious!! The magazine has me wondering what sort of projects would be in there, we don't have that sort of magazine here. If you don't mind, can you pop me into the cap too please.
Off to do some stitching while I watch Oaklahoma ...... ;-)

Candy C.

Oohhh, new cookbook with pretty pictures...I love them too!! :)
Your cake looks fabulous and the perfect ending to a Valentine's dinner!

Hi Judy. I am behind in my reading my blogs. In your URL part of your address is mid_life_bliss. I like that. Not a mid life crisis. You had your husband seem to have found a very nice balance to your life in retirement. I enjoy reading about your cooking and sewing projects. Your life has a nice rhythm to one--one that I am hoping that we find here--once I retire from job. You keep me inspired. Good luck on the syrup.

Traci

Awesome. I hope you enjoy the book. I just picked up that magazine yesterday. Can't wait to look through it this afternoon. Have a great day.

Hubby & I went out to dinner last night to celebrate Valentines Day.

Shopping at thrift stores and flea markets is one of my favorite things to do. I'd love to check out that mag!

Have a great weekend!

I'm singing the song too....love love the cake and the magazine! Thanks for the opportunity! Happy Everything! Pamie G.

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
