I got home yesterday from the quilt retreat and was busy today to even get on-line. So, I'm doing Happy Homemaker Monday now.
The weather...
Is 39 degrees and the sun has gone down.
Right now I am...
I am watching the Chicago Blackhawks game with my husband, plus writing this post.
Thinking...
That I feel pretty good about what I got done this weekend, and thinking how nice the new light and valance that we put up over the kitchen sink looks.
On my reading pile...
I didn't get any reading done this week, but I did get a new book on my Kindle that was recommended by a gal at the retreat... The Quilters Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini.
On my TV...
The Hawks game.
Favorite blog post this week {mine or other}...
I didn't read too many blogs this week so I'll have to skip this one.
Something fun to share...
You burn 26 calories in a one minute kiss.
On the menu this week...
Since I was gone, I haven't planned anything out this week. I will tell you this, my meals will be made with beef, chicken, pork or venison, how's that for a menu :)
On my to-do list...
Finish up the tree skirt that I worked on at the retreat, but I'm going to make it into a round table cloth instead.
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
Knitting more dishcloths.
Homemaking tips...
Bug-Free Room
Put a couple of drops of lavender or peppermint
essential oil on a cool light bulb to help repel bugs.
Place several drops of oil of lavender or peppermint on a
cotton ball or two. Put them into a small jar or margarine container.
Poke a few holes in the lid and cover. Put around the room.
HELOISE HINTS
Looking around the house...
I see my dinner dishes done and drying on the counter (I don't have a dishwasher). I see the blooms really blooming on the Christmas cactus, my hubby relaxing on the couch with his feet up watching the game.
From the camera...
On my prayer list...
Continuing to keep my cousin on my prayer list who had surgery today, praying that she'll have a fast recovery.
Bible verse~Devotional...
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:18

That is a great tip for bug repellant. I will have to keep it in mind. I'm glad you are back safely.

I'm glad you enjoyed the retreat! I agree, nice snowy picture, very picturesque. My hubby just removed my broken dishwasher today. I'm going to replace it with some much needed shelves! :)
