It has been 50-60 degrees here in the southern Midwest ... I love seeing pics of SNOW!!!!! You have a lovely blog. :)

Heather

Your photo is so beautiful. I've never been in snow so I look at pictures like that and think it would be wonderful because it's so pretty.

TexWisGirl

oh, i laughed out loud when i followed that link to find out what shocked you into wanting to make your own vanilla. ha ha ha ha ha!

Allison

You've got me TOTALLY hooked up on those food websites now! G-r-o-s-s!! :)

Leena

It sounds that your Monday has started well :)
We have got more snow too and it is increasing day after day as usually in this time of year.
Children`s skiing holidays are starting and I will be very occupied with family life next two weeks.
I wish happy week to you !

Traci

this is a great post. you're menu sounds wonderful!!

Carver

Sounds like a good start to the week. Beautiful photograph of the snowy landscape. I hope your cousin's surgery goes well.

If I wasn't already freaked out about the BVO in the soda my husband drank (I refuse to get it for him now) the beaver thing is just gross. I've become more disgusted the past year at what all these companies put in the foods we eat. So sad.

Rose

I always enjoy reading things like this...almost afraid to thoroughly read the scariest things list.

Tori

I post my meal plans on my fridge as well. It really does make things a lot easier.
I clicked on the scariest things in your food list. I can't help myself but to read it after I'm done commenting. It's always interesting knowing.
Laundry always seems to be never-ending around our house so I feel your pain on that one.

Good evening Judy I have had a busy day with my Mom and just came in the house to read my blog list. Thank you for mentioning my "Choice" story it is funny I thought it was not worth posting but I needed to post it. I am glad that you get it.

I love your photos they are amazing. I was afraid to go to the scary food sites at this time maybe later. I do wish I was at your house at your dinner table with an awesome list like that posted on your frig. Homemade vanilla is the best I have only tried it once. Delicious. Maple syrup pretty soon yummy.
Take care I am off to bed. A very long day. Thanks again. B

Hi Lisa, such a cozy picture ~ it would be nice to have a chat and a mug of tea ~ if not the big big ocean with thousands of miles would be in between :) I enjoy Downtown Abbry ad well, the 2nd season has just ended here. Your verse does encourage me, praying for your cousin that the surgery will be fine.

Oh I can look at your weather and figure out what mine will be in a few short days. I love cutting out the middle man (weather frogs).

I've read so many good reviews about Tricia Yearwood's cooking and cookbook that I should add her program to my growing list and see what it's all about.

Randy

Wow, that's some post. I really love that last shot. I hope your not buried in the morning. We are actually getting snow right now too.

Thimbleanna

Wow -- your menu looks delicious. What time should we be there? ;-D

Bev

I love these Monday morning posts!!

Nancy

I need to check out that Trisha Yearwood cookbook! Have a wonderful Tuesday Judy. :)

Sandra

Love Trisha Yearwood and I have that cookbook and have cooked a TON of things from there...all very good. Enjoy :)

Gross about the flavorings, I try not to read up much on these kind of things for I fear I will starve myself LOL

Hope you're having a good start to the week.

Tricia

Prayers for your cousin! Sounds like a very yummy menu! LoL! =)

Lisa @ Two Bears Farm

I've been doing my own vanilla for several years now - it's so easy to do and I think it tastes better!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
