Good for you!!! Since last spring when I hurt my knee... I haven't been able to run...so much for my 10k run this year.... My knee is good unless I run...so I'm back to walking...But there is something about a run that does feel sooo good!!

TexWisGirl

You make me smile Judy!
I was walking yesterday 5km too, when I came back from my dentist :)It was only -10 degrees Celsius / 14F so, it was very nice walking weather.
today we have -22c / -7,6 f , I will walk to the post office to get some Internet shopping things, it is only 2 km there, but in this weather it will be just suitable walking trip today.
When I was 8 years old, we lived one year near Russian border and I had to walk to my school every day - 6 days a week - just 5 km. It took an hour to go and then another hour to come back home - I got very good condition then :)
You look so happy, I wish you all the best !

The weather sounds great for walking. Congratulations for getting out again!

That's great Judy, good for you. :)

I usually go to the track on base with the family, but I think I would enjoy running/walk along the beach more :)

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
