I love baking but not cooking :)
I bake even original Finnish rye bread which is sour without yeast - only a sourdough, what is very old coming from my childhood. And also grandchildren want just my rye bread at first when they step inside :))
But a taste is good only for them who have used to it from their childhood.
Cooking is to me "must do anyway everyday thing" ;)
Good day to you Judy!

I have that Trisha Yearwood Cookbook, actually have two of hers and I LOVE them, they're so good.

Not a fan of Pioneer Woman though LOL

Beautiful picture you posted too, makes me miss the ocean :)

WITH tomatoes and bacon! Looks like you're having fun -- in spite of the bad weather!

TexWisGirl

i don't do either. :) but i've loved the rains we had.

Cook on Judy!! Nothing better to do when the rain is coming down and those waters are churning outside. :)

Barb

These are making me hungry! I'll have mine with bacon and tomato!

Bev

I'd have the bacon and tomato! Would love that recipe!

bo bon

everything looks delicious! the only weather that keeps me from cooking and baking is when temps are too high to heat up my kitchen. :)

Cheryl

The breakfast puffs look very good! I have Ree's first cookbook and love her recipes. Trisha's cookbook is one I've been eyeing at Barnes and Noble and have thought about buying. Glad to hear you like it. Now, what will I fix for supper? I love to collect recipes more than I love to cook. :)

Nancy

I love to bake and cook in the cold weather as well. Makes the house smell so good. :)

Randy

This looks marvelous!

Really good photos. I enjoy Trisha's cooking show. And i like the Pioneer Woman. Perhaps I should go shopping for cookbooks.

Muffins made with cardamon sound scrumptious!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
