Glad you are having fun! Your family looks like such great people. The fireplace is just like mine here at home!

You should be able to find some great photo ops there in old Galveston. Such an interesting place.

i saw that texas slip of the tongue. :)

sweet little faces to spend time with!

Kids are amazing when it comes to technology. My 3 year old grandson used his mom's iPad to FaceTime me on my iPod Touch. Much too smart. A walk on the beach does sound great. I would imagine that you will have a great time with the family. Looking forward to photos.

The kids of today are so at home with computers and ipads etc, I always feel a bit backward around them. Sounds like a peaceful week week you have planed, enjoy yourself.

Sounds like you are having such a wonderful time with family...and all those photo ops. :)

Fun time with family.... moments to treasure :)

that's the way the cornbread crumbles

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. My boyfriend's sons are 6 and 8 and I am amazed at what they can do also.

Isn't it amazing what kids can do with gadgets? I find myself asking my kids for help with things, it's crazy.

Sounds like you're having a great time and I will be waiting to see your photos :)

Hello nice to meet you. I am amazed at the children who understand every technological thing that is thrown at them. It is an incredible thing to watch.
I need a six year old around the house to help me sometimes I am sad to say.
I look forward to getting to know you and read about more family times.
A walk on a beach sounds wonderful to me today it is -16c here this morning. B

Wonderful shots of your grandchildren. I'm sure it's great to spend time with them.

You must be in heaven.

Yes, Judy. Today's Kids are well advanced in technology. Elders can learn lot from them :)

Just putsing around sounds like a good time to me. Now if downtown also has some antiques stores, I'd say you are in heaven. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
