Hello & Welcome To My World
My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.

Lovely purple flowers, Judy. It is so fun when the sky is bright blue and the fall colors are so vibrant. Natures beautiful backdrop.

Yes, these few autumn weeks are gorgeous but now also here only maples are still yellow, almost all birches are without leaves and the length of today was 10h27min, shortening is about 5 minutes a day now.
We have many birthdays in October including mine and we are going to our daughter celebrating birthdays of mine, our 17 years granddaughter and our son-in-law.
