even the butterfly seems sad...

Zaroga

Just beautiful! I think next year I will plant cone floers and some zinnias.

Fall is just the best time of year...even with the ending of things I still love it. But there are some bittersweet feelings in there, too.

Carver

Beautiful shot of the butterfly on the coneflower.

Randy

That's a wonderful shot.

Sherry Bennett

Nice shot. Unfortunately, between the deer and the slugs, my gardens were a major disappointment this year. Coneflowers are supposed to be deer resistant but the deer this year didn't know that!

A lovely butterfly photo--always a winner for butterflies generally sit long enough to get a good picture. My cone flowers are gone, too. But they will be back, won't they?

Robyn

I like your picture! I like fall also. Growing up, I always looked forward to fall cattle work. I miss breaking calves and looking at new show calf prospects. The only bad thing about fall is that snow and extreme cold is just around the corner.

I know just how you feel. I too love autumn...but the last of my Echinacea is hard to take. :)

Pieces of Sunshine

Lovely photo. We are now in spring and I'm noticing the increase in butterflies already.
