I'm the opposite. I've always been a big coffee drinker but it has started bothering my stomach so I only drink a few cups of coffee and then switch to diet coke which is less of an irritant. I love your neighbor's barn. Too bad you can't fix it up.

I have to limit my coffee intake or I go hyper. :)) But there is nothing more refreshing than my first cup of coffee in the morning.

I rarely drink anything with aspartame in it. I'm very afraid of the adverse health effects.

As for the barn, it sure is a shame to see a barn crumble...even though they are photogenic when they are let go.

Coffee is, I believe, the lesser of 2 evils! LoL! I'm not a coffee drinker, tho, my love is Pepsi, but I've given it up as well... trying to eat & drink healthier, so that was the obvious sacrifice! heheheee Plus, my sister has been hounding me to quit since forever! One of my dad's friends quit drinking soda a few months ago & has lost 40 lbs, so I figure it's sooo worth a try!

LOVE the barn... link up to next week's Barn Charm, that is if it's back & up running properly. LoL! If they're not going to take care of it, then I, too, wish it could be moved to your property... OR, they could just give that piece of property to you & hubs! Yeah? It's too much of a beauty for the owners to let rot... =(

Beautiful view while it lasts, tho =)

I've read that coffee is great for fighting cancer and other diseases as well, so that is great for me, I tell myself, go ahead have another cup! ;)

Kar

Couldn't give you a good opinion Judy. I don't drink either of them. Love the barn. A total shame it's not being taken care of. Poor thing. Too bad you couldn't move it. :)

Jan

I think both drinks have negatives, both are full of acid that hurt your digestive system. The best thing is everything in moderation. Plus, throw in some tea, hot or iced, very few negatives, unless you just don't like tea.

TexWisGirl

if you drink coffee while it is fresh, it has some antioxident qualities to it and is MUCH better for you than colas. :)

i love that red barn!

Di

Coffee is definitely the lesser of the two evils. I slurp it down like candy in the morning then save the leftover from the pot for a cup of iced coffee in the afternoon as a pick me up. All coke, soda pop... it's all bad for you. Just don't buy it anymore. We probably drink it a couple of times a year when and if we order pizza... otherwise it's a big no no.

Janet

My two caffeine vices are coffee and Coke, in that order. For me, coffee is the lesser evil! Regular (non-diet) sodas contain high fructose corn syrup, which I know isn't good for me, but I'm addicted! I've stopped buying it to have at home (if it's here, I drink it), but occasionally I will get a fountain drink when I'm out. I've tried to switch to iced tea and iced lattes for my cold drinks, but I *DO* crave Coke often. Coffee is a huge part of my morning routine and can't start my day without it.

As for the wonderful red barn, I think a daily "red barn photo" is in order till it meets its demise.

Hard choice, though some studies show that coffee actually does have benefits where coke has other not so good chemicals. I gave my diet Dr. Pepper years ago and became a coffee drinker. Go figure. I do always "moderation"

Merle Turner

I drink coffee and tea without sugar and coke with sugar, I don't like sweeteners only sugar but as long as I don't drink to much I figure that's ok.
Merle.....

Gina

It's coffee (only one cup) for me. I don't care for soda all that much.

Ramona

Definitely coffee, coke was my love but being diagnosed with diabetes late last year I had to give it away. Now if I have it, its Coke Zero. It's a good change.

Randy

I hear that coffee is the lesser of both evils. I am a huge Coke Zero drinker but I have slowly been weening myself off. I am trying my hardest to switch to Green tea. I would kill for a Coke right now!

Amy

That is a BEAUTIFUL barn. Love it!

Jeff Burrer

Diet Coke or and diet soda is a mixture of chemicals period all of which can cause cancer and diabetis. Coffee espically organic
Kickapoo locally grown is a much better choice. Try to eventually switch to herbal teas they have a lot of health
building properties.

Robyn

I am a cappuccino drinker. Coffee and chocolate!
Love your coffee drinking view.
