Driving around Door County looking around, we came upon this barn. I thought it was kind of fitting for the 4th tomorrow. It's not quite a barn quilt, but I like it. Hope you all have a safe 4th.

My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.

I have family living in Door County...Ellison Bay...
I think of "The Clearing" often....
It has left a mark on me...I'm certain I'm supposed to be a neighbor...
now I just need to figure out how to get husband on the same page...or at least to experience Door County..
