The first day in Door County we drove around a bit and we stopped at an overlook to see the bay.

I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.

Anywhere on the north shore of WI or MN is absolutely beautiful! One day the two of you will have to make a trip to Splitrock Lighthouse north of Duluth. Breathtaking! :) Love the pictures you took. :)

Yes, you do look like you are having fun...we were there once and I would love to go back. I love the great lakes...not sure why but they are so much more appealing to me than the ocean.

I didn't experience one while I was there - must add that to the "must do" list when I return -
question????
could you live full time in Door County? So completely different from where I live and I wonder how it would be to live so far from everything....example: home depot.
