I don't feel like it's summer yet because I still have tons of things to do for community groups I belong to. Sometimes I wonder why I volunteer so much!
My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog.
Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
The writings and photos on this blog, belong solely to me. They might not be much, but they are mine. Please do not copy any of it's contents, in whole or in part. If you are interested in anything you may find on my blog, please e-mail me with the request.

Looks like the trip was worth it, anyway. That is such a beautiful, peaceful sunset.

I'm sorry the eagles were absent but what a beautiful place to explore. Love the shot of the deer.

Even tho the Eagles nest was empty, your time was well spent. These country scenes are so peaceful.
Thanks for sharing, Judy.

All great finds. I have yet to see an eagle in the nest. They say they are now plentiful in north Alabama.

We spent the spring watching a nest of red-shouldered hawks. I would love to see an eagle's nest someday.
