Going through my folders again, I found these photos. This dress was in a shop window located in The Strand, in Galveston Texas. I can't remember the name of the shop or what it was all about, but I thought I would show you anyway.
I can't imagine the work that went into making this dress. I'm kicking myself that I didn't find more info surrounding this paper dress. One thing, I sure wouldn't want to be caught in the rain wearing it :)

Perhaps it was a "recycling" statement. You're right about all the work!

Did the reading material have any sort of theme? That is quite the work of art. My daughter was telling about the prom dress contest that Duct Tape has each year, giving a scholarship to the best prom dress made of duct tape. And the girls wear them to their prom. Are you getting rain?

We got a bout a 1/2 inch the other day but could use more as we are pretty dry. The rain has been missing us :( Supposed to maybe rain today..I'm hoping it does.

Or not near an open flame!!! Kind of made me think of the bridal shower game of making a wedding dress from toilet paper.

It's quite amazing how much effort and time some people will put into creating a piece of art.
