We headed back to Illinois after spending a relaxing few days with our daughter at our home here at Gentle Hearth Farm. Erin flies out on Sunday and before we came back here we met for breakfast.
If it had not been for my parents moving 850 miles away after I left home, and the remaining 5 siblings growing up and scattering from that point, I would not have ever seen the places in our beautiful country, that I have seen, when visiting each of them.I suppose every cloud DOES have a silver lining, although it's hard to feel that way at the time.
My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog.
Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.

You have such a lovely family. Yes, good-byes are very hard, aren't they?
