Beautiful! Also, happy blogiversary! I'm impressed you've been blogging so long.

Beautiful peony. I'm jealous as I had several peonies that looked like the same variety as that one but after many years of blooming were lost in 2008 when we had a severe drought.

Beautiful flowers for beautiful Leontien!

This is one of my favorite flowers and I know Leontien will love it too.

Cheryl @ The Farmer's Daughter

I posted a peony for her, too, but I had no idea the meaning behind it. Thanks for that.

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger of Finnish descent...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, knit, quilt, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
