Remember the guineas that I passed the other day? Well now I had to watch out for the ducks. They just took their sweet time getting out of the way.
Making sure I didn't hit the two, I checked my rear view mirror.
Whew, all is good.

Make way for ducks!

What kind of ducks are those? Tufted heads! Great photo and word narrative.

Pretty ducks, with those crested heads! I-71 was shut down temporarily yesterday to let a pair of Canada Geese cross the highway with their goslings.

I often wonder about people who live close to the road that let their birds wander... I don't think I could do it. Hope they stay in an upright and 3-dimensional position.
Thank you for sharing at Rural Thursday this week, Judy. xoxo

How cute that is. Not a care in the world, I guess.

Are they lost? I have never seen duck with top knots, either.

Did that one have a bad hair day or something???
Sarah just had a batch of mallards hatch beside her front door...all but two eggs. The last count that i remember was 12 eggs...they started hatching last night and left today....there is a little pond there in their neighborhood.

Looks like they are casing the neighborhood.

Hmmm. Ducks do have a habit of taking their own sweet time sometimes. Glad you had your camera to catch all the act...er...inaction. :)
