Di

That small building is soooo sweet. Wondering if it was a tool shed or perhaps a chicken coup. Very nice!

Kar

It sure looks like it was an awesome barn in its day. I wish I could have one just like it all done up and spiffy.

EG Wow, Canada

It's good that you took these photos before the trees, shrubs and vines leafed out so we could see the barn. Maybe you can take a photo later on, though as I'd LOVE to see it with the foliage too. :)

Hesper

We have a old barn like this close to us, and the other day when I was out driving after a big storm, I noticed the whole roof and side collapsed in.
I started crying right there.
It broke my heart that it probably will never stand again and I never once stopped to take pictures of it.
I am glad you have some photos of this beautiful barn so it can always live on.

TexWisGirl

i really like the flap-down door. it's a pretty place.

If you could pick it up and take it home...I'd follow you.
No barns in my area....makes me sad and a feeling of loss for something I've never had.
Please take it home and love it for me.

Nancy

Love the hay loft door -- have never seen one like it!

I wish I could win the mega millions, Then I could save all these old places from falling into decay. I get a hugh lump in my chest each time I stop to photograph the ones like this in my area. My only reward is knowing that my pictures will keep these old places alive for as long as I have them.

Oh my! What lovely character it has!
That loft door adds a lot of detail.
What a charmer the little house beside it is! A mystery as to what purpose it served - playhouse, smokehouse, tool shed...
I'd like to pick up and bring it home for my grandkids. :)

Robyn

I would have to stop and take a picture of this barn too! Wow, I bet is has stories to tell. The little shed in front is kind of interesting.

Rose

These are wonderful...liked all the different views.

Beth - VA

such a gorgeous red. great views. (:

Gina

That barn looks a bit haunted I think!

ann

The barn does have charm. Too bad it outlived its purpose. Your photos give it extra charm, too.

Pix at Under the Oaks

Hi Judy! It's a sweet old barn and deserves better. I wish you could stick it in your pocket and take it home too! Love the loft door and the teeny smaller building.

Tricia

Beautiful red barn! I love all the detail from the rusted roof to the foundation!

Thanks so much for joining =)

Jo

What a beautiful place and photos!

Randy

I love the washed out color.

Amy

What a beautiful barn in a beautiful setting!

Carole

What a beautiful barn. I wish someone had kept it up. It will be a shame to lose that one. Love the little addition off to the side too.
