I've been wanting to see some pelicans while down here and tho I've only seen a few here and there, I just didn't think that there were too many around here.
Well, I was wrong.
We were shelling in a spot that had oodles of them. I just wish I had my zoom lens with me, because every time I got closer to them they flew a little bit farther away from me.
Oh, I forgot to let you know what was in the rock picture, it was a pair of sunglasses, just click on the photo to get a better look.
Hope y'all have a splendid day today.

Lovely photos of the pelicans, Judy!

Good photos of the pelicans - I love pelicans. They look prehistoric! I'm enjoying your beach shots.

Judy, I see you are enjoying your time by the sea.. but don't stand under a pod of flying Pelicans and look up!
Nice shooting, Judy.

We saw pelicans on the Mississippi a couple years back, then Roger and one of his buddies went north to Jasper-Pulaski fish and wildlife area and seen some there a couple years ago...and it is in Indiana! Totally surprised them....

How fun to see all of those pelicans, Judy. I'm glad they showed up for you and I'd need to have on my glasses to see those glasses in the rocks. ;)
