A stark bare barn in a bare landscape - love the colors! Keep 'em coming.

Di

The barn in the midwest all looked so great back when I was growing up. Just makes me sad to see them all in disrepair and knowing that that era of barn charm is gone. Love your photo though. :-))

Rose

I like it, Judy.

I keep thinking of starting a blog with only barns! But then feel like I need another blog like I need a hole in the head.

TexWisGirl

Tami

Fall is so wonderful in your part of the country, I've enjoyed reading your blog for nearly a year now...hope you'll be enjoying a mild winter.

Keep sharing the pictures...I sit and stare...also,,,hope you'll share some knitting!!

Tricia

Love that roof, 1st of all, and I like how you included the road in the foreground... adds to the scene =)

Thanks for joining, Judy... I take it you'll be joining lots more since you have lots of barn shots, too, right?! =)

Dawn

I love that roof. What a beautiful contrast.

Ruta

I love that roof too... and the stark landscape...

ann

What character the old barn has. Wonderful photo.

Denise

I love photos of old barns. Every single one should be documented before they are gone.

Carole

Lovely shot. That barn looks very similar to a couple that reside near me.

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • My name is Judy and I'm the owner of this blog. Thank You for visiting.
I'm a...Wife...Mom of 11...Grandma to many...Homemaker and Blogger...living in a log cabin here at Gentle Hearth Farm.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin up on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. My husband and I are empty nesters trying to figure out life after kids.
I blog, quilt, knit, sew, bake/cook and take pictures of just about anything.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose, and I try to live each day in the present, life is so much nicer if you do.
