Where did the week go? I can't wait to show you the finished weaving product when it's done. But first I need to get some Shout color catcher sheets to wash with it.
No pictures on the camera lately. I've been so busy that I don't seem to be taking pictures anymore. I can't seem to find time to even work on my knitting WIPs.
The count down is 23 days until we are on the plane to warmth.
We are getting eggs and I'm not really sure how to clean them without washing them. I've read that you really shouldn't. We try using a soft cloth but it doesn't always do the trick.
Sorry for more egg pictures it was the only thing on my camera. But, look past the junk on them, don't they look like Easter eggs?
Suzanne over at Chickens in the Road had a post today about freezing eggs. Which I did not know you could do (shows you how much I know). The photos of her eggs are always so nice and clean. So, I asked her how she cleans them and YES you can wash them.
Tonight is anything night for the ones who live in this house. Anything night means that you can have anything you want for dinner because I'm not cooking. We are heading up to Milwaukee to have dinner with some friends. There's nothing like having wonderful friends to visit with.
I've made a couple of new dishes this week but of course I didn't take any pictures so you'll just have to take my word that they were good.
Nothing else to blog about right now. So, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

lovely eggs, didn't know you could freeze them!

The best way I have found to clean/wash eggs is: Take a papertowel as soon as you bring the eggs into the house, take a hot paper towel (wet) and wipe them off with that. I do not know for sure but I have seen online somewhere that if you wash the, you are supposed to wash the with hotter water than the temp of the eggs so I alway wash them with hot water onto a papertowel.

Hahaha! I LOVE anything night -- we should all have a night off EVERY week!

I do love the soft colors of the eggs...instead of anything night, we have 'what you can catch'--meaning whatever you choose of the leftovers, or whatever you want to fix.

I never knew that one shouldn't wash eggs. Are these fresh eggs?
You enjoy your night off from cooking dinner.

Hi Judy, thanks for visiting Thistle Cove Farm and following; I'm more than happy to do likewise! I couldn't remember the answers to your egg questions, simply been too many years and my memories is a poor servant, but if you'll visit
http://notesfromchickenland.blogspot.com/2008/05/washing-eggs-or-not-primer.html she has some great answers.
You'll ave to cut and paste because I don't know how to make it a good link, sorry.
I'm envious of your fresh eggs; hope the snow soon allows me to visit neighbors who sell fresh eggs...yum!
