Oh I feel for Jake and Jenny...may God be with him as he is deployed yet again.

kar

Prayers are being said for Jake so that he has a safe deployment and return home. Thanks for serving Jake. :)

I don't get people either that gripe about snow, but live where it happens. Move. I don't like driving in it but I love watching it and taking a few slides down a hill now and then. :)

The biscuits look yummy except I'll have to skip the cinnamon. My mother was brought up in the South. She used to make biscuits from scratch.

I live in MO, and the weather has been so warm for Nov. I am looking forward to alot of snow. I love when the wood furance is on. It's a cozy warm.

God bless your son! A 3rd deployment - that is a lot of service for our country. He will be in our prayers. Ahh - those baking powder biscuits look great. I need to try them - haven't made biscuits in a long time. My mom always used to make them and they were my favorite!

Me Me Me!!! I always love to see the snow. I'm definitely a 4 season person -- I could never be a snowbird. Good luck to your son! I don't understand the way they do deployments, but I guess it's not for me to understand -- just to be grateful for those who go. Thank your son for us. And thank YOU for that yummy looking recipe!

God bless your son. Please thank him for keeping us safe. I pray he will be safe and not gone for too long.

I am almost in the mood for snow. Soon! :)

Congratulations on becoming a regular employee! Good work!

Hello & Welcome To My World

  • Thank you for visiting my blog.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. If I could, I would spend half a year here and the other half down in Texas...sigh...someday.
I'm a wife...mom...grandma...having raised 11 kids to adulthood, we are now empty nesters.
I knit, sew, quilt, bake, cook, take pictures...you just never know what you're going to find here.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose.
    But, life sure is good.
    Enjoy!
