This is what I found at the pumpkin sale I went to the other day. All the orange yarn was on sale. I just couldn't pass it up. Now, to find something to make with it.
Who has had a Jersey Mike's Sub?
Since our son moved back up here from North Carolina we thought that we would never get to taste a Jersey Mike's sub again. Well, I am so happy to report that one opened up in our area last May...and would you believe I found it only just recently. I'll just have to make up for lost time here ;)
So, how was everyone's weekend? Mine was just fine. I did a bit of knitting and relaxing by the wood stove.
Who's all ready for Thanksgiving? I've been slowly planning. I can't buy my turkey yet because it won't fit in any of our freezers. We bought a whole pig and that is taking up most of the room. The roosters are getting butchered next weekend. I told my kids if they want a roaster they'll have to come help in order to get one. It will be kind of sad to see them gone tho. That's why you can't get too attached to them.
Don't worry I won't be posting any butchering photos. I'm not too sure that I'll be taking any pictures of it either. Sorry to disappoint you all.
Well I'm off to finally begin my day. You all have a great one today.

Hahaha -- that's a great way to parse out the roosters. Thanks for not showing photos -- eewwwww. Your yarn looks yummy!

I love that pumpkin color! So pretty!
I'm not sure what you'd do with a whole pig. Do you cut it up in pieces yourself? Poor roosters.
We never buy our turkey until the weekend before Thanksgiving. No room here either. We'll just thaw it in the fridge from the weekend until Thursday.
Have a lovely day
