I can hardly contain my glee. I have one of my photos featured on the Lake County Forest Preserve website. Can you feel me grinning from ear to ear? And, it's my favorite photo of the lotus flower that I took.

Hello & Welcome To My World
- Thank you for visiting my blog.
I'm originally from Northeast Illinois, and my husband & I now live on 20 acres in Southwest Wisconsin in the Ocooch Mountains, 10 miles from the nearest town. If I could, I would spend half a year here and the other half down in Texas...sigh...someday.
I'm a wife...mom...grandma...having raised 11 kids to adulthood, we are now empty nesters.
I knit, sew, quilt, bake, cook, take pictures...you just never know what you're going to find here.
There is so much that I want to do, but there is just not enough time in the day to do everything, so I have to pick and choose.
But, life sure is good.
